與獅子 Alex、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria 是朋友關係，現已十歲，正值青壯年，不滿意現況，聽見企鵝訴說動物在動物園是違返大自然，一心去追尋狂野，野外生活。因於外觀與企鵝黑白相似，所以關係不錯。

長頸鹿 Melman
與獅子 Alex、斑馬 Marty、河馬 Gloria 是朋友關係，有著容易生病的體質，為人膽小謹慎怕事，容易緊張。小時侯開始暗戀河馬 Gloria。

河馬 Gloria
與獅子 Alex、斑馬 Marty、長頸鹿 Melman 是朋友關係，是這群體之中的催化劑，和安定劑。為這群體，緩和個體之間的衝突，也會提出一些有建設性的建議。

企鵝

企鵝 Skipper
企鵝小隊之中的隊長，負責大小決策，領導小隊，階級觀念意識較重，對隊內最低資歷的企鵝 Private有明顯的差別對待。

企鵝 Kowalski
企鵝小隊之中的副手也是參謀，小隊之中個子最高，常被隊長問及現況，口頭報告進度。

企鵝 Rico
企鵝小隊之中的第三把交椅，少言，牠幾乎可以吞下任何東西，牠又是武器專家。
主要職責執行任務時，為隊長 Skipper/小隊反芻需要的物件和製作工具。

企鵝 Private
企鵝小隊之中的小卒，身高最矮，天生一副得意可愛臉，牠多愁善感，會努力完成被賦予的任務。

狐猴

環尾狐猴 King Julien XIII
自稱第十三代國王，說話帶有口音，但比起國家和國民，牠更愛跳舞和Party。牠經常依賴顧問大臣 Maurice，因為牠缺少領導能力。與其他狐猴相比，牠更有智慧，更冷靜。

狐猴 Maurice
是國王的宰相，也是跟班和追隨者，亦是國王從小認識到現在的朋友。雖然是顧問，但國王很少聽他話。頭腦冷靜，經常對國王的瘋狂計劃表示懷疑，時有進諫。

狐猴 Mort
有著水汪汪的大眼睛，嬌小，會裝可愛，有跨張的瞼部表情。愛抱著國王的腳。

馬島長尾狸貓 The Fossa
環尾狐猴 的捕食者，作為島上最大的肉食動物，是狐猴的天敵。

猩猩 Mason and Phil
兩隻猴子常黏在一起，形影不離，動物園動物中最高智慧的物種，最適應人類文明。沒有看過Phil 說話，只會作手語溝通。

老女人 Nana
總會帶著一個看似老舊款式的手袋，功夫了得，是獅子 Alex的剋星，是個瘋癲老女人。

劇情概要

故事發生在美國紐約市曼克頓區內的中央公園動物園。斑馬 Marty 到了十歲生日，認為園內生活枯燥乏味，對大自然有種難以抗拒的感覺，渴望體驗曠野生活，決定趁夜逃離動物園。

斑馬 Marty 不辭而別夜逃動物園，前往中央火車站，欲前往曠野。此事驚動獅子 Alex、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria，牠們認為決定溜出動物園把斑馬 Marty找回來。其間猩猩 Mason and Phil、與4隻企鵝 Skipper、Kowalski、Rico、Private 趁亂離開動物園。

斑馬 Marty、獅子 Alex、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria 在街道、車站上已經驚動路人和警察。所有溜出動物園的動物都在中央火車站，牠們被趕到的警察包圍，獅子 Alex被麻醉槍射昏。

接下來事件被報導，社會有聲音認為動物不應該困在動物園，反影應該回歸大自然。可能受到社會輿論壓力影響，斑馬 Marty、獅子 Alex、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria 、猩猩 Mason and Phil、與4隻企鵝 Skipper、Kowalski、Rico、Private 都被決定放生。

接下來便是劇情的核心，杜芬宅不告訴你。

印象深刻的衰

隱惡揚善的CG

美國5間耳熟能詳的公司，DreamWorks, Disney, Pixar, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures Animation，製作出很多的動畫電影。

但是Madagascar 2005 就比 The Incredibles (2004) 略為遜色，或者杜芬宅說這是一種風格吧。細心留意，片中有很多不約而同的畫面表現技巧。

仔細看左下的磚頭，有沒有看出什麼?

準備爆開的磚頭後方還是完整的牆壁，即是它們的3D建模並不是由很多獨立的磚頭拼成一幅牆再爆開。

這些海浪在動畫中好像布幕一樣，向上下拉動一樣，一些水的重量都沒有。

就在 獅子 Alex 要撞擊長頸鹿 Melman的木箱時。

塵土沙石四濺

幾塊木頭從中飛出來，接下來便已是一個爛了的木箱。
這個剪接騙小孩還可以，杜芬宅給不合格。

那個海浪是片中最漂亮的水，但是那些海豚很醜。

同樣，在 企鵝 Rico 準備壽司時，牠出刀很快地切割

將魚往上一拋

一件件壽司便咚、咚、咚地掉到桌上，整齊地排列好。

魚尾剛上蓋在頭上，變成了帽子。

就好像大學作業限期快到了，趕緊做好交給教授，這些細節就不用管啦。

圈養動物是殘忍/是愛？

故事當中一個很重要的劇情是，動物溜出動物園，有聲音指出動物應該回歸大自然。
獅子 Alex、斑馬 Marty、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria 巧合被放生野外，但大自然好像排擠被馴養過的動物。

圈養動物都是受控制，因為土地資源有限，人力資源有限，牠們從小便被教育要聽話，聽話才有飯吃。特別是表演動物，或以商業為基礎的展示。你看到的動物行為並不自然，只是一種反射條件，只是看到動物如何苛且偷生，掙扎求存。

現代人的放生真的是為動物好嗎，動物不能說話/寫字/畫圖表達想法，現代人是否更應該學習相關的知識，自以為崇高的行為其實等同謀殺你放生的一片好心。由出生開始受飼養的動物基本已經失去野外生存的本能，沾有人類氣味亦有可能被同類排擠。

除了野生動物保留區/保護區，是真正比較貼近野外的生存環境，透過導賞團觀察動物，是一個比較平衝野生和人類需要的方案。

印象深刻的好

節奏明快，沒有冷場

片中分為以下場景，包括︰

• 動物園
• 中央火車站
• 貨船
• 馬達加斯加(Madagascar)

場景的轉換也安變得很好，斑馬 Marty 溜出動物園後，獅子 Alex、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria都在緊張和擔心，鏡頭一轉，便是斑馬 Marty的心理狀態，很自在，期待，和樂在其中。

另一個劇情大轉變位置是，當大家開始適應野外生活時，獅子 Alex 因為已經2天沒吃肉，餓得發狂時撲向斑馬 Marty咬了屁股。大家四散逃離，獅子 Alex認為自已會進一步傷害牠的幾位好友，離開了，向反方向，馬島長尾狸貓 The Fossa的領土愈走愈遠。

斑馬 Marty，長頸鹿 Melman，河馬 Gloria 逃跑成功，這時才發現野外的另一面，每走一步，更體驗到野外是弱肉強食的世界，物競天擇的法則。

塑造自然角色

片中總體感覺是傾向兒童的，有一些很跨張的肢體動作，表情，跨張地拉扯身體/變形的表現方式。但是有些細節依然是貼近現實，令年齡稍大的觀眾看，也會有一種熟悉的親切感。

塑造自然角色 - 猩猩智慧高

靈長類動物大腦很發達，猩猩有很高的智慧。
猩猩 Mason 懂得拾取人類不要的報紙、飲品，會閱讀報紙。牠們懂得裝扮成人，除此之外雖然猩猩 Phil不說話，但卻會手語。

而現實中，有一隻大猩猩從小接受手語培訓試驗，真的會美國手語。牠叫Koko

塑造自然角色 - 河馬的咬合力

在船上，斑馬 Marty、獅子 Alex 發生爭執，河馬 Gloria威脅了句︰住手，不要逼我上去扁你們。這可不是靠嚇的，雖然獅子是萬獸之王，河馬只是草食性的動物，不過河馬的咬合力驚人，根據Wiki資料顯示，河馬的咬合力是2500磅，獅子是1000磅。獅子對河馬的威脅是利牙，利爪，速度，團體獵食。河馬的優勢是咬合力，在水中便是主場，噸位(成年雌性體重平均約1,300公斤)，河馬看似笨重，但是能以30 km/h的速度進行衝刺。

河馬對痛子不是完全沒有勝算，一對一的時侯。

塑造自然角色 - 長頸鹿 Melman 立遺囑

長頸鹿 Melman認為不能夠在野外生存時，自挖墳墓，並且立了遺囑，決定將牠的遺產平均分給3人，雖然杜芬宅很懷疑牠會有什麼遺產。

接下來被海水沖走了大一段，不好意思了 獅子 Alex。

塑造自然角色 - 長頸鹿 Melman 生火

長頸鹿 Melman 成功生火後很慌張，怕得四圍走動，如果怕火為什麼不放下火把？在野外生火，很多人會想起鑽木取火，但是長頸鹿沒有手掌/手指，只有蹄，握不著木頭，所以仔細看，木塊是捆綁在牠上肢，牠透過不斷摩擦在生火。

塑造自然角色 - 串燒海草

斑馬 Marty弄了4人份的串燒海草，斑馬 Marty、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria 都吃得津津有味，唯獨 獅子 Alex 不敢恭维，因為獅子是吃肉的，其餘3位剛剛是草食性動物。

塑造自然角色 - 真實生態

到達了Madagascar，狐猴 是真實生存在島上的動物，國王King Julien XIII是高階種，在國際保護分類中，環尾狐猴是易危（VU, Vulnerable），

相較其它尾巴沒有環狀花間的狐猴，是更需要保護的物種。

片中獵食狐猴的The Fossa 是真實存在Madagascar的，是該島最大的肉食性動物。

塑造自然角色 - 貓愛吃魚

獅子 Alex 吃不到肉，反而成為大家的威脅。企鵝做了魚生壽司，結果，
對白︰貓兒說魚兒好吃。
語帶相關，獅子是貓科動物，有貓的共通點。
魚從何來，企鵝抓的吧，嘿嘿。

塑造企鵝

企鵝 Skipper、企鵝 Kowalski、企鵝 Rico、企鵝 Private 小隊，隊員的名字就已經明示出牠們的階級分別，加上牠們的行為和鬼馬的語氣。

刻意使用企鵝是因為牠們看來起就像穿了Tuxedo ，牠們有階級，會潛入，會偷襲，會暗號，亦有默契。令人聯想牠們是更有神秘感的特務。

The Candy Man
獅子 Alex 被麻醉槍射中時，唱出了幾句。
那首本是來自 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory，一套1971年改編童話故事的電影。兩套的關係根本是牛馬其風。根據杜芬宅深入的思考，推考和猜測。便是對手
再拍了 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory，Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 和 Madagascar 都是在同一年上影。那就像漫畫中的主角會跑進其它漫畫中客串一樣，多是發生在兩套作品的作者之間相互恭賀，友好關係，合作企劃……可能兩套的導演是老相演。

杜芬宅上一篇就是在寫Charlie and the Chocolate Factory的電影影評，那巧合真的太虛幻。

當斑馬 Marty被咬了屁屁，嚇得全部人逃跑時。斑馬 Marty、長頸鹿 Melman、河馬 Gloria才意識到大自然生存是殘酷的，是不容易的，播出這首歌，唱著舒情歌述說著世界是令人讚嘆，是要虐心虐死觀眾。

Anempathetic sound 是指電影中一些聲音，對現況豪不關注，效果是可以增加悲劇性的冷漠。呼應野外是弱肉強食，適者生存的世界。

National Geographic Fanfare

企鵝 Skipper 向天發射閃光彈吸引敵人注意時，一眾企鵝立即擺好陣勢對付敵人。

這時響起的背景音樂。

小結

杜芬宅家中有DVD已經看過很多次，這是一部精采的電影，為了寫評論重看一次，每天都抽點時閒寫一點，邊寫邊重溫一些片段，也花了杜芬宅幾天時間。
2小時(看電影)+ 6小時(寫評論和搜集資料) = 總共用了8小時。

這是一部結合了友情、幽默感、輕鬆氣氛的精采電影，不論是鏡頭運用、演出方式、音樂都配合得不錯的電影。適合的年齡層很廣泛，又適合一家大小一起看。

總體而言，杜芬宅 十分推薦這部電影。
