Context:

This animation is called "The Revolting Rhymes" inspired by Roald Dahls. There's 2 part here on YouTube.

It follows the Wolf's night, telling rhymed stories, first to the Babysitter, then to Red's Childrens.

In the first part he will tell the stories of Red, Snow white and his 2 nephews.

In the second, in order to distract Red's kids, he will tell the tale of Cinderella and Jack with his magic bean.

Both of his nephews were killed by Red, first one ate Red's Grandma before Red killed him and turned him into her own coat.

Second one was killed while he was hunting the 3 pigs, he first ate the 2 pigs of straw and stick houses. The 3rd Pig was a bank owner and after getting threatened to be eaten, hired Red to kill the Nephew's Wolf, she did the same and turned him into a coat, which she later gifted to SnoWhite.

You can see on Red and the blonde (who is SnoWhite), the Wolf's nephews. I recommend watching the full thing to understand it best.

The Ending is bittersweet, Wolf's gives up on his vengeance after taking care of Red's kids, only saying Goodbye to her before taking the bus and returning to his forest, leaving Red stunned and reflecting on what she did. Nothing much is said after that. Neither one of them is wrong for what happened in the past. Wolf warned his nephews about the danger of hunting in the city and Red was only defending herself, at first.

Side note: i find it funny that Red's last kill wasn't even the Wolf's Nephews but the 3rd Pig. As previously mentioned he owned a bank, and since childhood, Red kept saving to his bank until he used up all his clients founds towards the building projects of the 2 other pigs which gets them killed. After completing the hunt, she got invited into his private room, where she founds out that he had a big safe full of gold "Picsou" style, and that he also broke her piggy bank. She killed him, turned him into a bag that she uses to transport that gold. This night, she killed the Wolf's second nephew and the 3rd Pig.

觀後感

有段時間，十分流行，傳統童話故事的再演譯

或由另一個角度將故事重新演繹，那種手法在當時非常新鮮，且大受觀迎，之後幾年也有不少動畫電影彷效，相關動畫電影大行其道。

這種從另一個角色的視角、平行時間軸或「幕後視角」來重新詮釋原本故事的手法，在編劇上被稱為平行續集（Parallel Sequel）或側視傳記（Sidequel）
